Nearly 15 years after bidding her character ‘Moesha’ adieu, fans of multi-talented diva Brandy welcomed her return to sitcoms with open eyes, ears, and arms last night for the premiere of BET’s ‘Zoe Ever After.’
A romantic comedy centered around Zoe Moon (Brandy), a single mother/businesswoman juggling the pressures of a recent divorce, new love, and more, the show won rave reviews from viewers given a sneak peek days before its January 5th debut.
Now, as preliminary figures roll in, BET have every reason to rejoice as the series is off to quite the promising start. Going head to head with the likes of ratings juggernaut ‘The Haves & The Have Nots’ and more, see how B-Rocka’s return to “leading lady” fared against the competition:
Preliminary ratings: 851,000
(Note: DVR and streaming figures are not included)
On the heels of minimal promo and BET’s decision to make episode 1 available in full online (which may have negatively impacted viewership premiere night), Bran and team are due congratz for the respectable ratings. Industry sources are expecting the number to rise to over 1 million once DVR and streaming data are tallied into the final figure.

Tragic af
Extremely tragic.
So she matched On The Run HBO show. lol Sitcom does take a few eps, if not a 2nd season to get the hang of things. The show just have to make it. Hard to do.
I missed it last night, but I plan on watching it very soon.
i was so disappointed, i love brandy but i can’t deal with “Zoe Ever After” !
No shade, but it’s not surprising. I mean Brandy hasn’t been relevant since the 90’s, a tell tale that includes her last few flop albums.
