Chris Brown plans to open up more than before in his new documentary.
The “Excuse Me Miss” entertainer had much to reveal in the new trailer for “Welcome to My World”, one of those reveals having to do with the toll the infamous 2009 incident took on his mental well-being.
His mother admitted “That was the worst day of my life and probably his life. I felt like I was going to lose my child.”
Regarding “that incident” the “Wall to Wall” singer confided:
“I felt like a f–king monster. I was thinking about suicide and everything else. I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t eating. I just was getting high.”
It’s an interesting confession given how critical he was of underground artist Kehlani’s widely-reported suicide attempt last month.
The question ultimately becomes: Can Chris Brown truly be redeemed? 7 years removed from said incident has seen artistic growth, but unfortunately we’ve yet to see the once-promising act deliver a personal Renaissance of his own.
