The socialite Amber Rose is making a fresh move into the world of television…and she’s pulled Dr. Phil along the ride.
Viacom‘s VH1 and Dr. Phil have teamed up to release/produce a late-night talk show fronted by Rose.
She shared:
I am very excited to be joining forces with such an amazing network to deliver a fresh perspective on the primetime talk show. I’m going break all the rules and redefine late-night. Watch out [Jimmy] Fallon, here comes MUVA!
Why Phil and his ‘Stage 29 Productions’ signed up?
He shared:
Rose has affectionately become known as the face of neo-feminism. Ms. Rose’s rise to massive popularity is now largely attributed to her controversial yet impactful perspective on women’s issues.
VH1 General Manager Chris McCarthy added:
Amber has inspired millions of young women by overcoming homelessness to become a wildly successful entrepreneur. A true multi-hyphenate, she is a devoted mother, a strong advocate for women’s rights and a celebrated author all of which make her an ideal host. Amber is a perfect addition to the VH1 family because our audience is interested in hearing unique perspectives from those who are unapologetically themselves and not afraid to take a stand on issues they are passionate about.
The untitled project will premiere this summer.
