Who makes up the ingredients of today’s entertainment shake?
Jennifer Hudson and a few formidable pocket monsters.
Hudson has inked a lucrative new deal with Netflix which has seen her secure a starring role in the movie ‘Sandy Wexler.’
The project stars Adam Sandler and serves as one of the four films he is contractually obliged to deliver to the company.
Its storyline?
‘The Hollywood Reporter’ explains:
The 90s-set project, called Sandy Wexler, stars Sandler as the titular character, a talent manager working in Los Angeles, who represents a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. His single-minded devotion is put to the test when he falls in love with his newest client, a talented singer named Courtney Clarke (Hudson), who he discovers at an amusement park.
Shooting starts on August 2nd and the project is set to rock the platform in 2017.
Elsewhere, fans of the Pokemon empire will be elated to learn that a live-action movie is in the works.
Ignited by the popularity of Pokemon Go, plans to bring the cartoon and its ferocious characters to cinematic life will be brought to fruition by Legendary Entertainment and the Pokemon Company with help from Universal Pictures who will distribute the release outside of Japan.
Fans of Pikachu will be pleased to discover that the movie will be based on the character who will play a detective in its adventure-based tale.
A premiere date is yet to be announced.
I’m so excited . I may be 26 but I have every Pokemon game ever and definitely will be getting sun and moon. Just hit level 18 last night on Pokemon go and caught a Ninetails.
You would have thought they would have made a live action movie already lol
Good for her she really deserves it. Finally her career is taking off and shes getting some recognition .Shes really talented singer and actress I mean she won an oscar and still wasn’t getting leading roles or fame after dreamgirls I mean Gwyneth patrol is a terrible actress but she won oscar and still is relevant and is considered alist 17 years later so its really nice to see jennifer hudson do well.
The powers that be need to quit playing and make digimon digital monsters into a live action film. That would be a better fit for this day and age. Pokemon is only doing good because of nostalgia. Digimon would also be more believable because it takes place in a digital world.
Good for her
