ABC’s ‘Uncle Buck’ has seen its tale come to an unexpected end.

The show was based on the John Hughes-presented John Candy-led project of the same name and starred Mike Epps and James Lesure.
Alas, not even the genius of the producer Will Packer could save the series from cancellation after its first season which delivered eight episodes.
Lesure made the announcement on Twitter:

The Carmichael Show is actually funny. It’s a bit here and there, but once you get their sense of humor, it’s hilarious.

This “Black” show had no promotional budget so I’m not surprised. Such a shame too. Love Mike Epps.
Actually they promoted it a whole lot. And it was the highest watched show of the summer season in its first episode. It just wasn’t good. Stop pulling the race card in your generic I can’t afford a professional graduation photo. That outfit is weaker than this show!

This is crazy to know they already cancelled. Wendy was just saying a few weeks ago the ratings were good. Either Wendy is back to lying (as usual) or Mike’s soon to be ex wife is doing some witchcraft and spells to make sure Mike has no success for the rest of his life.
Whenever a major network premieres a scripted show in the summer time, it means they don’t believe it will do well. I guess they were right.

I called it when it premiered. The first week numbers were soft and they always decline after the debut episode. Add to this the fact that the casting was terrible and that Mike Epps is NOT funny enough to be a leading actor and what u have is a disaster.
Never knew it even aired…. i dont watch too many sit coms. But this one in particular, when reading about its coming didnt get me excited at all, That market is already crowded with light skin comedians. I would Like to see nia Long in something else though, maybe not a sitcom

I didn’t even know the show had aired. Wasn’t Uncle Buck originally an all-white cast? It’s no surprise that Hollywood reject this all-black version.
