The racially-motivated digital assault made against the actress Leslie Jones is to be investigated by Homeland Security.

Yesterday, the long-running assault on the star reached new heights (and lows) when her website was hacked and several nude photographs said to be of her were released online.
Today, Homeland Security has launched an investigation into the case with hopes that they will uncover the identity of the hackers behind the leaks.
ICE Homeland Security Investigations in New York does currently have an open investigation.As a matter of agency policy, we are unable to disclose any information related to an active investigation.
The participation of DHS in the matter could suggest that the hackers came from overseas. One theory making the rounds is that the hack was a retaliation for Breitbart columnist Milo Yiannopoulos being suspended from Twitter permanently for his part in the July attacks on Jones.
Jones is yet to respond to the attack but is likely to have learned that the Pop princess Katy Perry has.
