As their time in the White House comes to an end, President Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama continue to sprinkle greatness onto their legacy with the opening of the National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
Standing as the 19th Smithsonian museum, the museum seeks to reintroduce the world to the African-American story and shed light on aspects of it that are often omitted from the education system.
Joining the couple to celebrate its opening was George W. Bush, Will Smith and Oprah Winfrey.
Keen to ensure you remain up to date, we’ve secured footage from the latter’s fun-filled and educational appearance at the ceremony as it takes place.
Enjoy below…
Ase Ase Ase. So vitally necessary. Visibility is Power and Authentic Representation is Life itself. For our future generations to SEE our Blackness in all its Glory, this is quite welcome. Our ancestors are STRENGTHENED by this endeavor. Bless the Obama. They will be literally Sainted and Deified when they finally transition to the realm of the ancestors. Ase!
