Inspired by real events, writer/director Mark F. Kindred‘s ‘Rogue’ sees Howard play a rogue officer who seeks revenge on the LAPD after he is fired from his job.
‘The Hollywood Reporter’ adds:
Mandalay Pictures and Jason Michael Berman (The Birth of a Nation) are producing with Green Brothers’ Reinaldo Marcus Green, and Matthew Mouat.
A premiere date for the action movie is yet to be announced.
Howard’s commitment to the project is unlikely to disturb his obligations to the series ‘Empire‘ in which he plays the leading man Lucious Lyons.
