Watch: President Obama’s Farewell Address

Last night, millions of Americans tuned in to watch President Obama offer them his farewell address before he parts ways with the White House to make way for his predecessor Donald J. Trump.

In it, he thanked his family for their support as he stood as leader of the free world and outlined the highs and lows of his presidency.

Fortunately, the praise he received for his speech was undisturbed by news of Trump’s alleged penchant for “Golden Showers” on social media.

Watch below…

My fellow Americans, Michelle and I have been so touched by all the well-wishes that we’ve received over the past few weeks. But tonight it’s my turn to say thanks.

Whether we have seen eye-to-eye or rarely agreed at all, my conversations with you, the American people — in living rooms and in schools; at farms and on factory floors; at diners and on distant military outposts — those conversations are what have kept me honest, and kept me inspired, and kept me going. And every day, I have learned from you. You made me a better president, and you made me a better man.

So I first came to Chicago when I was in my early twenties, and I was still trying to figure out who I was; still searching for a purpose to my life. And it was a neighborhood not far from here where I began working with church groups in the shadows of closed steel mills.

It was on these streets where I witnessed the power of faith, and the quiet dignity of working people in the face of struggle and loss.

I’m gonna miss the Obama’s. So much class, patience & dignity. All that is coming to an end. Trump being our President is a national disgrace & embarrassment.

The tell us racism does not exist ,we love playing victims yet they voted trump, a hardcore racist who has done nothing but mock every thing America stood for as a free nation.

??????? I’m going to miss the Obamas so much.. We always knew he would leave after 8 years, but what makes his departure so much more depressing is that his his successor is Trump. In its own special way, if you know anything about history to see what I’m saying, this kind of reminds me of Andrew Johnson becoming President after Lincoln was assassinated. Only in a few distinct ways. Johnson was the worst person possible to become president after Lincoln, a time when the country was more divided than ever and he only made it worse. He was a reviled and disgusting human being and hopefully he’s burning in hell. He was also the first president to be impeached…

I’ve been saying what Obama mentions for a while now. 72% of baby boomers are white and there are over 10 million more millennials than Baby boomers. 56% of millennials are white. As a whole, Millennials are one of the most socially conscious generations ever, and are no where near as passive as their parents. There’s actually a poll that shows that 2/3 of Trump voters saw this election as their “last chance”. Their last chance to stop America’s decline. That contributed to why they came out in waves for him because he insisted that he could stop it, as he also said “2016 is the last election the republicans can win”, due to the shift in demographics. The baby boomers know that they’re time is almost up and they know that on large, Millennials hate their ideologies. I’m very interested in seeing what this country becomes when the Millennials really start running the show.

Best President Ever. As far as I’m concerned, we no longer have a President once Obama leaves office.
