Are you as engrossed as we are in ‘The Good Fight’? If so, there’s good news.
‘The Good Wife’ spin-off has officially been picked up for another season by CBS.
Full story below…
The network announced moments ago that the legal drama will return in 2018 for another 10-episode run.
Anchored by Christine Baranski and Cush Jambo (both pictured above), ‘The Good Fight’ picks up one year after the climax of its parent series.
Diane has lost her entire life savings in a Ponzi scheme and must start all over at a new law firm. A largely Black firm.
What follows is a layered narrative that intertwines episodic cases, real life headlines, individual character storylines, and epic acting.
After launching on CBS as a preview (scoring a 7.3 million viewers), the rest of the series is being broadcast on the network’s on-demand service (CBS Access).
The renewal announcement, which comes after its fifth episode, seems to confirm reports that the show has been performing strongly on the service. CBS sources say ‘Fight’ has proven a subscriber magnet for the Access platform. Although, much like Netflix, specific viewership numbers have not been released.
In any case, we’re elated. The show is everything.
I love this show !! I’m glad it’s been renewed
Good for them. I can see networks going this route and using spin-offs to launch their services. Wouldn’t mind catching a Scandal or Empire spin-off online…
Meh. I don’t take web series seriously. Get back to me when this (becomes a real TV show aired on a real television network.)
Good for them
