Remember the new Prince EP we told you about – ‘Deliverance’? Well, it appears it won’t be hitting retail anytime soon and the reason has many side-eyeing.
Why? Because a reality show about the fiercely private star is in the works.
According to TMZ, the late legend’s Estate were successful in pulling every legal string possible to block the release of ‘Deliverance.’
At the time, the belief was that the set – recorded in 2004 while the Purple One was an indie act in between contracts – somehow conflicted with the high-profile deals inked to release his music posthumously. Hence, why his team went guns blazing at the man behind the EP, George Ian Boxill.
However, it’s now being reported that Prince’s team do have plans for the music – but want its release to coincide with a new reality show centered around Prince’s family.
Though in early stage of development, it’s being said that a production company is on-board for the as-yet-unnamed show. It’ll allegedly chronicle how they’re dealing with the aftermath of his death.

Eww.
As seen with similar shows about Whitney Houston and the like, this very rarely ends well and absolutely sounds like milking the cow.
Surely, there’s enough buzz around Prince, his vaulted material, and legacy to sell new product via more premium mediums? The handling of Michael Jackson posthumous career has proven that success can be extended by well calculated moves.
Above all, there’s approximately zero need to thrust folk into the spotlight that we didn’t (care to) know while Prince was alive.
Just no.
this is probably why he didn’t fool with any of them while he was here. he was very particular about his music and protected it by any means necessary. these folks are money hungry.
I totally agree with you!
Lmao mess.
It’s all about his money, if he didn’t give you s*** while he was alive why not take it while he’s passed on…
