‘A Star Is Born,’ which she’s co-headlining with Bradley Cooper, has seen its premiere date pushed forward — and for all the right the reasons.

According to Deadline, execs at Warner Bros were so “blown away” by the pair’s performance in the drama that they revised its release date to May 18th 2018 (from September 28th 2018).
The idea, per the report, is to get the film – which tells the story of a nightclub singer turned global star – in front of audiences as quickly as possible.
Coincidentally, or perhaps not, the timeframe syncs with the Cannes Film Festival; an event Warner have historically used to launch its May blockbusters ala ‘The Great Gatsby’ and ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’
Time will tell if that’s the plan for ‘Star.’ But, as of now, its industry buzz is off the Richter.
