‘Maleficent’ tells the tale of the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ villain of the same name and offers insight into her life before ‘Beauty’s story begins.
Jolie has committed to the project’s sequel which is to be filmed in the first quarter of 2018 with the full support of writers Jez Butterworth and Linda Woolverton as well as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ creative Joachim Rønning who is being eyed to direct it.
How the original fared? Very well, enamouring movie lovers to the tune of $758 million!
