Mark those calendars because Taraji P. Henson is set to hit the big screen next March in ‘Acrimony.’
Formerly titled ‘She’s Living My Life,’ the flick is being directed by Tyler Perry and sees the ‘Empire’ star play a dutiful wife who, after growing tired of standing by her devious husband, gets enraged when it becomes clear she’s being betrayed.
The project reunites Henson and Perry after two previous collaborations: 2008’s ‘The Family That Preys’ and 2009’s ‘I Can Do Bad All by Myself.’
Peep the newly unleashed trailer below…
‘Acrimony’ hits theaters on March 18th 2018 via Lionsgate.
I really wish Taraji would stick to A LIST films like “Hidden Figures”. This story has been written, directed & released at least 18 times in the past 5 years. ENOUGH! Taraji could truly benefit from starring in projects that pair her alongside the on screen greats. This mess? SAME OL SAME OL!
Because Hollywood is just handing out A List roles to black actresses every day right? Or should she just not do another movie for the next 8 years until the next “Hidden Figures” comes along?
Why everything black people do you all try to make it second class? If a black person start fashion line you all try to make it second class, but a white label take the same black culture and turn it into fashion you line up around the block use the rent money to buy the same product. look how much stupid movies get made by whites .look how much stupid movies Adam Sandler makes and still making . You haven’t seen the full movie yet ,but you cannot wait to tear it down. This is why blacks will always be at the bottom of the food chain.
Adam Sandler movies are horribly played out as well. Plus his movies rely more and more on racist stereotypes.
Nothing new here to see folks this kind of movie has been done one too many times but I guess Taraji is going to stick to the rivers and lakes that she is use to.
Looks like Tyler stole the same actress who plays young cookie in empire to play young cookie in this movie.. All I see is cookie in this role, which is bad, for her movie career.. She should have left Tyler Perry behind..
No she should keep working with Tyler and other movie directors that will give her roles to showcase her abilities. She is not the most versatile actress so why not capitalize on what she has?
This looks good and it will definitely do well at the box office. But I’m also looking forward to her role in Proud Mary. I think that comes out in January.
Why Do Fools Fall in Love?/ A Thin Line Between Love & Hate
I’ll be watching this! Looks good to me!
This movie seems really familiar.
Looks cheap. I thought Taraji was done with the chitling circuit? Smh she refuses to elevate her career. Still shuking and jiving.
Waiting for my front roll seat @ Harkins/Redlands. BAM!
Must see
