Idris Elba is aware of the public’s desire to see him become the next James Bond.
How he feels about it?
Flattered. However, he has revealed that he believes that it’s time for the character to step into 2018 and undergo a transformation even if he isn’t enlisted to replace Daniel Craig.

Are we interested in having a Bond character other than being a male?Could be a woman, could be a black woman, could be a white woman, but I think, that character, everybody would like to see it have — do something different with it, why not?
The star had this to say about Bond’s future during an interview to promote his brand new movie ‘Yardie’ which impacted Sundance on January 20th.
The next Bond movie will hit theatres on November 8th 2019 and will see Craig portray the character once again.
