Full story below…

The yet-to-be titled project has found a home at Amazon and will detail Meek’s life during the period in which he fought “for exoneration while exposing flaws in the criminal justice system.”

He shared…

I’m grateful for this unique opportunity to share my story and I look forward to collaborating with Amazon Prime Video, Roc Nation and the Intellectual Property Corporation on this incredible series. Not only will this documentary give viewers an unprecedented look at my life, but it will also allow me to use my public platform to highlight the need for criminal justice reform.

Amazon, elated by the collaboration, added…

It will follow Meek and his supporters as they attempt to uncover the different facets of corruption that kept the rapper under the thumb of Philadelphia’s criminal justice system for more than a decade, while revealing his life post-incarceration. Each hour-long episode will unravel Meek’s past — from the childhood trauma that shaped him as an artist, to the vast conspiracy behind his latest imprisonment — while following present-day developments in his legal battle, personal life and music career. The series will also feature Meek’s original music.

The six-part docuseries is yet to bag a due date.

Meek Mill honestly isn’t that intriguing of a man or recording artist. He should be a PART of a larger documentary about crime and legal reform for people of color in America, but the focus should not be centered around just HIM.

Absolutely true. He’s not exactly Nelson Mandela. I am glad he is getting out, BUT Judge Genece isn’t wrong. He pled guilty to the charges and then violated even the lightest terms of his probation, plus he associated with questionable company and activities.

I’ll pass on this. He needs more music under his belt before a documentary.
