Currently hard at work on on her next studio album, the multi-dimensional talent is flexing her acting muscles on FOX music drama ‘STAR.’
And it seems the audience, alongside creator Lee Daniels and the show’s producers are impressed with her performance – because B-Rocka has been upped to a regular.

TV Line confirms that, after recurring in the role of Cassie on season 2, Brandy has been promoted to main cast.
The 39-year-old’s expanded status seems to provide insight into the aftermath of the show’s sophomore cliffhanger.
Viewers will recall ‘STAR’s May finale, which saw sisters Cassie and Carlotta (played by Queen Latifah) point guns at each other. A loud bang rang out and then the credits rolled.
As TVL point out, Latifah is the show’s lead — hence isn’t going anywhere. And now, it’s become apparent that Brandy won’t be either.
Folk will have to wait until the Fall to see how the storyline plays out.
‘STAR’ is the latest in a long line of acting gigs Brandy has snagged. Previous bookings include ‘The Game,’ ‘Chicago,’ ‘Zoe Ever After,’ and breakout role ‘Moesha.’

I thought Carlotta killed Cassie but I’m glad Brandy is promoted as she slayed that role.
The cliffhanger was them pointing guns at each other. I guess they just spoiled the outcome of the standoff.
