The 24-year-old was arrested after allegedly stealing a dead man’s debit card information after meeting him for a $400 “prostitution date” and racking up tens of thousands in fraudulent charges, according to a complaint filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Clermont was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of access device fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft, a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Her lawyer, Donald Duboulay, could not be reached for comment.
She was released on $100,000 bail following her arrest, according to the Associated Press.

This is sad and shocking to hear. I remember when I first met them back in 2011 during the preparation for the Spring Fest Fashion Show at Clark Atlanta University. They seemed so innocent and quiet, but determine for stardom. In all honesty, I never thought they’d reach this magnitude of fame. But, they surpassed my expectations. I was actually proud of them, but to watch them change physically (due to surgery), flaunt their wealth (due to fraudulent activities) and become so obsessed with the fame and labels is sad. Our generation is F*****. Everyone wants to be rich and become a celebrity. People will do LITERALLY ANYTHING for it. The scamming part doesn’t surprise me because its become a common thing, but to be selling TWAT too. I’m speechless. I just pray that Shannade doesn’t get 20 years.
