Singer-songwriter Ashanti (born Ashanti Douglas) reminds fans her talents are certainly not limited to the pen and microphone, a feat evidenced by the trailer for the forthcoming musical-drama, ‘Stuck.’
Executive produced by and starring Douglas, the film showcases what happens when “six unlucky strangers (Amy Madigan, Giancarlo Esposito, and others) [are] thrust together when their Manhattan-bound train unexpectedly grinds to a halt deep beneath the skyscrapers of the Big Apple. Their solution? Sing about their problems until salvation arrives.”

Speaking to our friends at EW about the film, Ashanti said:
“We’re putting a positive spin on things and looking at the glass half full versus half empty, and we tried to paint a positive picture of all those scary moments,” she said. “It shows that we’ve all gone through situations where we may not be thinking the best while going through situations with other people, dealing with racism, feeling different, or feeling frustrated in the moment.”
‘Stuck’ rides into theaters on April 19.
It looks like a quality film.
You must be kidding!!! LOL! Ashanti and quality don’t equate…

This looks good can’t wait
this looks great!
Ashanti needs to produce, direct and be an A&R. People won’t note how much her voice has improved (While Ciara’s has NOT) and constantly compare her to Beyonce, despite her being more successful when Beyonce came out.
