Jennifer Lopez has packed plate of late, thanks to her music, film, and touring endeavours.
However, her current TV show is now at the center of a legal wrangle.
Details below…
Lopez is accused of stealing the idea of her NBC series ‘World of Dance’ from a man named Alvin Gray-El.
In a recently filed lawsuit, he says he first pitched the concept to celebrated choreographer Debbie Allen in 2009. He claims that even though Allen didn’t respond, she gave the idea to NBC who used Lopez to launch it seven years later.
He is suing both ladies for this reason. The sum sought? $6.5 million.
However, sources close to Lopez assert she had nothing to do with the show’s creation and only jumped on its wave after she was asked by its airing network who had been sitting on the concept for years.
