Mark those calendars because ‘Pose’ returns on June 11th!
The ballroom drama is back for its second season on FX and promises many a plot twist and turn. Originally set in the late 80s, this go round viewers will find Blanca, Angel, Pray Tell, Elektra Abundance, and co in the year 1990.
Continuing along the theme of the inaugural season, the show’s sophomore run will again explore the beginning of the ball movement, the LGBTQ experience at the time, and much more.

The Ball “movement” for black trans & gay individuals did NOT begin in 1988 or the early 1990’s. The balls were ignited in the 1960s by the ICON, Crystal Labeija. She broke away from the lily white pageant scene & erected the first celebrated house.
