Will Smith‘s ‘Gemini Man’ is making modest moves at the box office after bagging $20 million in its opening weekend.
Full story below…
‘Gemini’s figure stands as the one of the lowest box office opening figures Will has seen to date despite bagging $20 million. Why? Because it was built on the back of a $150 million budget.
That said, the last Will movie to see numbers this low (1995’s ‘Bad Boys’) went on to become a massive sleeper hit after it turned its $19 million budget into 141 million dollar magic.
The trailer looked horrible
Flop
The budget was 150 million, that is too damn huge, and it opened to a mere 20 million. This is a certified flop.
Will Smith isnt a draw anymore. Nobody goes to the movies because of a particular actor or actress anymore, this isnt 1995.
And the movie received negative reviews.
FLOP!!!!!!!!!
BLOOP!!!!!
BURSTING OUT LAUGHING!!!!
Chile, when they said that he was the main 2 characters (him vs himself) I knew it was a flop. Smh
The concept is interesting but the execution was poor as hell.
Yeah they just made it look boring as hell. I don’t blame Will, I blame whoever was in charge of promoting the movie & also the writers, the director, whoever was in charge of spending 150 million on special affects…..Will needs to stop just saying yes to S*** to make a few dollars…he need to have movies again with substance. Can’t wait for Bad Boys 3!!
Bad boys 3 looks horrible also
Martin Lawrence gained a ton of weight.
Watching the trailer the jokes are off, the visual effects are cheap looking.
I’m predicting negative reviews for this movie
Don’t forget to count his overseas sum as well! I see no one talking about “the Rock” last movie which is, “Hobbs & Shaw! That movie-only gross 173 million and it cost 200 million to make. But it made money overseas though. So is the Rock movie a flop??
the film sucked.. love Will but this was trash
AGREED. I went to the premiere of Gemini Man at TCL Chinese Theatre.
Big Fan of Will Smith but not a fan of this movie.
Can’t wait for Bad Boy’s 3 though.
Well it’s 70mil total with overseas. Likely it’ll make budget.
