Josephine Baker‘s story is to be told…by Paula Patton.
Movie news below…
Paula is to star in and produce a movie named ‘Josephine Baker’s Last Dance‘ and offer the world a fresh look into the artist’s life and legacy with help from Sherry Jones’ novel of the same name.
Josephine Baker had an incredible life and was a remarkable woman. It’s been a childhood dream of mine to play such an inspirational person and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to tell her story.
Baker was born Freda Josephine McDonald, in St. Louis, Missouri and rose to fame in Paris, France after impressing its audiences with cabaret and music hall performances.
In 1991 HBO celebrated her life with ‘The Josephine Baker Story‘ which saw Lynn Whitfield earn an Emmy for her portrayal of the brilliant star.
I’ve never seen her do anything that would give me confidence in her ability to play this role but we’ll see.
Exactly! Plus it’s already been done in 1991. She won’t top Lynn Whitfield’s portrayal! She slayed it!
NO NO NO! Let it alone, Lynn Whitfield has done an excellent job portraying Mrs Baker!
Kerri Hilson kinda favors her. She would’ve been a good choice.
Lord at least it’s not Beyonce attempting tonight act once again
