Chadwick Boseman fans took to his social media handles in droves Wednesday (April 15) to express worry over his health after he uploaded a video that showed a dramatically smaller frame than the chiseled physique of his ‘Black Panther’ portrayal just two years ago.
More inside:
April 15 marks Jackie Robinson Day – a date of particular importance to Boseman as he portrayed the baseball legend in the 2013 film, ’42.’
Taking to Instagram to commemorate the occasion, the 42-year-old saluted the civil rights hero with a video announcing his partnership with charitable foundation #Operation42 to help hospitals that serve African American communities during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Celebrating #JackieRobinsonDay with the launch of Thomas Tull’s #Operation42, a donation of $4.2 million in personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals that service the African American communities who have been hit the hardest by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
The visual certainly got a response, albeit probably not for what he was intending. Highlights below:
As of time reported, Boseman has not responded to the hoopla.
