Madonna, Mariah Carey, Usher, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, and Britney Spears are just a few of the big names in music who have buckled up for James Corden‘s wildly popular ‘Late Late Show’ segment, ‘Carpool Karaoke,’ over the years.
Yet, despite the slew of prospective guest stars music lovers have on their wish lists (see: Janet Jackson, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Chris Brown, Brandy, etc.), Corden’s gone on record to announce the future of the show is uncertain due to to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Look inside to hear him detail the decision to forego the virtual alternative:
“I think it will be a while before we’re singing in a car with anybody,” Corden explained on a recent episode of ‘Ellen.’ “We can’t really think of a remote way to do it. It really does rely on two people being in close proximity, so that’s alright. It’s okay.”
