D.L. Hughley has been hospitalized after collapsing during a comedy show.

The star was performing at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mid-set, the comedian/actor stops speaking and almost falls clean off his stool.

A handler was on hand to cushion his drop to the floor.

According to TMZ, Hughley was taken to hospital by ambulance. His rep offered the following update:

“[D.L. was] suffering from exhaustion after all the week’s work and travel, and was kept overnight at the hospital for tests under doctor’s orders. He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayer and thoughts.”
