‘The Prom’ is heading to Netflix and bringing a number of major names along with it.
Full story below…
Due December 11, The hotly anticipated project is the first movie release to come from Ryan Murphy‘s blockbuster deal with the streamer and it’s clear the director is looking to do it big.
An adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name, the narrative tells the story of teenager Emma, a teenager who is banned from attending a school dance with her girlfriend.
It’ll star some of Hollywood’s biggest names such as Meryl Streep, Kerry Washington, Kidman, James Corden, and Keegan-Michael Key.
Speaking on the venture, Murphy described the Broadway original as “one of the most uplifting, heartfelt and special musicals. It’s truly an original that celebrates the underdog and says in a loving spectacular way that LGBTQ rights are human rights. I feel a special connection to it because it’s set in Indiana, and that’s where I grew up, too.”
This is The Prom…not to be confused with The Prom Feen, which is Shayla’s musical! 😂 Her filthy mixtape is dropping soon! Mariah would NEVER 🤣 🤳🏽💋
You know that it’s dropping so I also know you’ll be checking for it. Who knows, you might even like at least some part of it, and it wouldn’t be a bad thing to admit it either.
Do you rap or sing or both? 🎶 I don’t ever hate on what I like! If I like it, I like it 💯
I sing, although I rap a little.
