Tisha Campbell has shockingly shared that she left her 22 year marriage to Duane Martin with only $7 to her name.

The ‘My Wife and Kids‘ actress sat down with Entertainment Tonight and discussed her divorce from her actor ex-husband.
Stating that she left the marriage with close to nothing, Campbell shared:
“Nothing. No one knows that but I had nothing. Nothing in the bank. Nothing. I had maybe $7 to my name and I was scared. It was like I was starting all over.”
The former couple’s split was notoriously messy, after the ‘Steel Here‘ singer alleged Martin of hiding assets along with the claims of a bankruptcy scam.
Luckily, two years later, the star has been able to bounce back from the financial hardship and she’s happy to have gained the support of her two sons, Xen and Ezekiel.
The 52-year-old added:
“The fact that I did raise children who didn’t care about the big mansion that I had or that we had to start over or any of it. Starting over is not always the easiest thing, but it is the necessary thing. It’s a beautiful devastation.”
When questioned on the possibility of finding new love, the ‘Outmatched‘ actress keeps her sense of humour:
‘I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and I don’t want a relationship so don’t ask me that sh-t no more!’
