A new Britney Spears documentary could be on the way.
More details below…
According to Bloomberg, Netflix is set to create the new documentary and has enlisted filmmaker Erin Lee Carr for the project.
The news of the new documentary comes shortly after Hulu released ‘Framing Britney Spears,’ which highlighted the singer’s current conservatorship and the #FreeBritney movement.
The Hulu documentary prompted messages of support from many famous names (as we reported here) and even a lengthy apology from Spears’ ex, Justin Timberlake (as we reported here).
Neither a name nor a release date for the project has been announced as of now. However, Bloomberg reports that the project was already underway before ‘Framing Britney Spears’ even debuted.

Free Britney!! And Netflix, please expose ALL of the characters in this story! The NYT conveniently left out the wicked witch that allegedly proposed the idea of the c-ship, and allegedly tried to put other troubled stars in one. Don’t let us down Netflix! And we need MULTIPLE parts. More than 75 minutes.
OMG ONE DOCU WAS ENOUGH WE DONT NEED A BUNCHE OF DOCUMANTARIES
There’s will be better .. hopefully they make it a series and work with the user Deep Dive on YouTube.. they have a 6 part series and some of that content and how they broke it down should definitely be used and will garner huge views for them. I was hoping Netflix would step up.. HULU doesn’t create as good original content IMO
#FreeBritney
That’s crazy
Opportunist.
