From slamming Black History Month and BET as ‘double standards’ against White people to saying transgendered people should “pee in bushes (instead of bathrooms),” and more, actress-turned-political commentator Stacey Dash has seen her name flashed across headlines over the past 6 years for some controversial comments on sociopolitical matters – especially regarding racial and gender equality.
As the latter half of that time period saw her fired from ‘FOX News’ and endure a highly publicized divorce from her fourth husband (as we reported here), it appears those shake-ups and others have made the 54-year-old turn over a new leaf.

Taking to our friends at DailyMailTV recently (as seen in the clip above), Dash stunned viewers with an apology and her new outlook – claiming she “lived her life being angry” but “that’s not who Stacey is now.”
“There are things that I am sorry for,” Dash told the Daily Mail, saying she would never work for Fox News ever again. “Things that I did say, that I should not have said them the way I said them. They were very arrogant and prideful and angry. And that’s who Stacey was, but that’s not who Stacey is now. Stacey’s someone who has compassion, empathy.”
Throughout the interview, Stacey said she felt she played a role at Fox News as “the angry, conservative, Black woman” until she realized “that anger is unsustainable and it will destroy you.” The most surprising aspect of the sit-down may be her public denouncement of President Trump – an end to a longstanding vow of support she says is due to the January 6 storm of the U.S. Capitol.
“When that happened I was like ‘OK, I’m done. I’m truly done,’” she said. “Because senseless violence of any kind, I denounce. What happened on January 6 was just appalling and stupid.”
Despite her renewed stance, an overwhelming number of social media detractors didn’t seem too convinced.
