‘And Just Like That’ has returned with episode 8 of its first season.
Full of explosive revelations and even more life-changing actions, this week’s episode attempts broad strokes for its characters. But how did these actions fair for Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte?

This episode was doomed from the beginning, as Che Diaz served as the voice of reason for Miranda. However, their only redeeming quality of the series so far has been the fact that they reminded Miranda just how much of an awful person she has been since the reboot of ‘Sex and the City’ began.
As such, the episode begins with Che learning that Miranda hasn’t told Steve about their affair. They also learn that Miranda isn’t in an open marriage – although that seems like something that would come up in conversation and not take multiple episodes to air out. Anyway, Che threatens to be done with Miranda, so Miranda is forced to have an honest conversation with Steve over their future.
As for Carrie and Charlotte, they appear to just go with the flow and whatever decisions Miranda makes, they are fine with. So, when the girls are having dinner together and Miranda blurts out the fact that she wants to ask Steve for a divorce. However, the others are too preoccupied with the fact that Charlotte was caught, um… giving an Australian kiss to Harry that morning by their daughter Lilly.
Naturally, Miranda then shows up Che’s place of work and professes her love for them, where they announce that the feelings are reciprocated. While this is great for them, it still seems odd given the fact that Che is not traditional, so Miranda most likely won’t have the same traditional life that she has with Steve with them.
One of the few highlights of the series comes when Miranda and Steve sit down for the conversation that has been a long time coming: the divorce. Miranda does the polite thing and simply states that their marriage isn’t enough for her. Steve, on the other hand, revels in the stability the recent years have provided for the couple. He makes it clear all the time that he fought to keep their marriage and relationship working – honestly, this man deserves so much better at this point – but he wants to see her happy and if this is it, then he is willing to do it for her.
Miranda – who of course feels no remorse for the destruction of her family – then goes off to the airport to meet Che at their gig in Cleveland.
On the Upper East Side, Charlotte admits that her plan was to have an open discussion about sex with her children, but then avoids the discussion when she is caught. Rather, she comes clean to checking Harry’s member for cancer. So, her storyline this episode blows…quite literally.
If you’re wondering where Carrie has been this whole time, well she has been organizing her clothes to decide what goes into storage. She does get to know her downstairs neighbor some after being perceived as the “crazy old lady” stereotype. While she tries to make amends with her neighbor, she is treated to the “full package” when her neighbor’s partner towel drops after bringing a peace offering. While Carrie and the neighbor eventually come to terms, her plot line this episode seemed rather pointless.
