Netflix Confirms ‘Stranger Things’ To End with Season 5

Published: Thursday 17th Feb 2022 by Rashad

‘Stranger Things,’ one of the most popular programs in Netflix history, is set to pen its final chapter on the platform.

Details inside:

Thursday (February 17), Netflix took to press to announce the long-awaited season 4 premiere date of the sci-fi horror series which stars Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo.  Split into two parts, the portions will be unveiled May 27 and July 1 respectively.

And while longtime fans prepare themselves for the fright to come, the real horror for some may have been delivered when execs announced the show is getting the axe with its fifth season.

“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for ‘Stranger Things,’” Matt and Ross Duffer, the showrunners, said in a letter shared on Netflix’s blog. “At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.”

However, there may be spinoffs in the future of the ‘Stranger Things’ universe – as alluded to by the Duffers.

“There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of ‘Stranger Things’; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes. But first we hope that you stay with us as we finish this tale of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friends, of a broken police chief and a ferocious mom, of a small town called Hawkins and an alternate dimension known only as the Upside Down. As always, we are grateful for your patience and support.”

As of time reported, no release date is attached to the fifth and final season.

Dumb ass kids tv show. Ain’t nobody here for it

The main cast(of kids) are kinda maturing now and might want to pursue other ventures rather than being attached to the show. It’s a shame that the pandemic put a stall on the show’s production for nearly two years. Figured those two things might be a factor as to why they’re wanting to move on.
