Kim Kardashian is clearing the air.
For, she is now giving more insight behind her controversial “work” comments.
More details below…
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star sat down with Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts to address her “get your f**ing ass up and work” and how it was taken out of context.
“Well, that statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it. It became a sound bite, really with no context.”
“It wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard. I know that they do. It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.”
The KKW Beauty founder then went on to say that she was trying to get the message across that it takes more than a successful reality TV show to launch a lucrative career.
“My whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about what advice would you give to women. And the advice that I would give is just that having a social media presence and being on a reality show, does not mean overnight success.”
“You have to really work hard to get there, even if it might seem like it’s easy. And that you can build a really successful business off of social media and you can, if you put in a lot of hard work.”
Previously, Kardashian made the controversial comments during an interview with Variety along with her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner (as we reported here).
Her words were met with instant backlash from fans and celebrities alike.

BS, BS, BS! F all them frauds 🥱 🤡
The issue is NOT really the statement itself but the individual behind the statement. A REALITY TV star is NOT an example of Female empowerment nor is it the greatest accomplishment, seeing how women have achieved far more in Hollywood & within the Corporate world.
The fact is…you think way to highly of yourself. Yes you are successful but that’s were it ends. No one appointed you as a public speaker dear & the ppl made it known how they truly feel, lol
We LOVE to see it!
You will never be Kim, hunnie! Stay mad 💯🤳🏽💋
LOL!
Well I’m very happy knowing I’m not Kim. For the record…there is no hate for Kim. Again I admire her marketing skills. So there you have it!!
I’m pointing out how the social dynamics doesn’t work in her favor. And as “Hmmm” stated…somethings are more difficult to sell.
If an escort desire the role as a religious figure, would I be a hater if I told her the role should be suited for someone else?? 🤷♀️
Sis you simply can’t handle the true tea. So you stay pressed among my presence. But you will deal sweetheart!!!
The richest people like to preach about hard work, because it makes them believe they’ve earned everything they have. That they deserve it. When the truth is that you can’t actually “work” your way into the 1% and the middle class, who has to work 2-3 jobs to get by, outworks them by miles. The richest people do not work the hardest and they never have. That’s the point. Kourtney for example, literally does nothing. Nevertheless, I don’t think her words for women in business were taken out of context, I think she just didn’t realize, I’m terms of optics, how a “get your ass up and work” spiel would be received coming from a billionaire who was born a millionaire, being directed towards women who have to build their businesses from absolutely nothing. And let’s not forget that Kim and sisters are notorious for STEALING from WOMEN IN BUSINESS. I don’t know who this heifer thought she was gonna inspire with that message.
I believe Kim is after the same respect as women whom are music Superstars or managers in the Corporate world. She has the success but she doesn’t have a high level of respect or admiration from successful women.
Kim used her appearance/body as her sole brand yet our society doesn’t share the same admiration for a Kim as they would for women who spent their youth focusing on their college education. She is trying to move into their spaces NOW after dominating within’ beauty/fashion Industries.
One thing we can definitely admire is the Kardashians amazing marketing. The women can really sell themselves. (No pun intended)
Kim is a LEGEND, hunnie! 💯🤳🏽💋
i agree with that. That’s an interesting take. It seems like the same rationale behind calling Kylie “self made”. They’re clearly trying to promote themselves in a different light. They are really GREAT at marketing, but it’s become an issue because they’re so used to it working all the time, they’re probably scratching their heads as to why they’ve gotten as rich as they have, without the respect and esteem that “less successful” celebs have. You can market yourself as a fashion icon, a social activist, a beauty guru, etc. all you want. They’re trying to use that same formula to “promote” themselves as admirable, as respectable, as praiseworthy, but it doesn’t work that way.
There’s just some things you can’t buy and apparently there’s some things you can’t “sell” either. They could do it naturally if they learned how to empathize with people. You can own your accomplishments and humblebrag about your work ethic, but you also need to acknowledge when you’ve been afforded privileges that have allowed you to succeed that other women simply don’t have access to. People have no choice but to respect the truth. But they’re not gonna sit back and let you pat yourself on the back for being “self made” or listen to you scoff and tell them to “get the f up and work, it seems like no one wants to work” when they have to apply for a business loan to get the same amount of money that you probably got as an allowance.
@Hmmm….
Well said! 💯
Kim’s mission is too DOMINATE over Women in Beauty, Brains, Humanitarian, Prestige, Motherhood, Social Media, Fashion, etc.
She has blatantly copied Naomi Campbell several times as her subliminal way of saying “you’re replaceable”. It’s never a form of flattery seeing how Kim moves.
Same w/ her recent statements. It’s NOT about motivating women. She is expanding her brand. So women who consider themselves “Professional”….Kim is coming for ya spot too, lol And of course she has the resources to make it happen.
Fúçk this heaux.
To me, the issue is both the statement AND the person behind the statement. A lot of business women work hard to get what they have and KK is the last person who needs to be claiming otherwise. And I’m so sick of these so called apologies where public figures take no responsibility or acknowledgement of what they said but instead use excuses like, it was taken out if context or they were really saying something other than what we clearly heard being said. And the icing on the cake … ‘I’m sorry if you took it the wrong way.’ As if our ears don’t work or we lack the ability to understand exactly what we heard with our own ears. May as well have not ‘apologized’ at all.
We love you, Kim! Fxxk the haters! They’d do ANYTHING to get even a whiff of yo p**** from yesterday’s worn panties! 💯🤳🏽💋
I could comment but Hmmm… really said it all there is to say 👏🏻
