Jesse Williams broke the internet this week when footage of him nude while performing on Broadway leaked.
The actor is currently starring as the lead in ‘Take Me Out,’ in which he stars as a closeted baseball gay player and features in a number of scenes sans clothes.
With the world at large in deep conversation about his nether regions, Williams is weighing in himself.

While much of the discourse was amorous and filled with admiration, theater execs voiced concern about stepping up security measures to protect performers.
Addressing the situation, Williams told The Associated Press:
“I’m not down about it. Our job is to go out there every night, no matter what.”
Continuing, he appeared to express an alignment with the need for such leaks to be prevented:
“‘I’m not really worrying about it [the leak]. We do need to keep advocating for ourselves. And it’s wonderful to see a community push back and make clear what we do stand for, what we don’t. Consent is important, I thought. So, let’s keep that in mind universally.”
The 40-year-old concluded:
“Theater is a sacred space, and everybody doesn’t understand that. Everybody doesn’t necessarily respect or regard that in a way that maybe they should, or we’d like.”
