As Hollywood icons go, few have been as enduring as Marilyn Monroe.
Now, the legend’s story will be shared anew by way of the incoming Netflix biopic, ‘Blonde.’
Promising a raw and unvarnished look into the layered life of the late screen star, the Andrew Dominik-directed flick is based on Joyce Carol Oates’s book ‘Blonde.’
Ana de Armas stars as Monroe in the hotly anticipated film which also features Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, and Julianne Nicholson.
Set for a September 28 premiere on the streamer, check out the full-length trailer after the jump…
For as much as it’s been probed, Ms. Monroe’s narrative remains oh so rivetting. We will be tuning in. Will you?

You too. My Queen 👑 “ let the haters stare and we smile back. All my girls in the rainbow Cadillacs, yeah”💅🏾💋

Schizophrenic ass
Marilyn Monroe made a huge impact for Diva aka Marilyn Mon h o e💅🏾 She had been a huge influence in my life as an h o e fessional stripper. As a woman she is very strong, fierce, very sweet at the same time.
Whenever Black people are cast in fictional roles, there’s a “Let’s cast a white person as Black Panther or Malcolm X!”
But when a Latina is cast as a white woman who existed, there’s no problem.
The hypocrisy.
Marilyn Monroe’s mother was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico.
“Marilyn Monroe, discreetly, embraced her Mexican heritage, which she kept secret from the public. She became conversant in Spanish, though not fluent, a fact that made handlers at 20th Century Fox nervous; on her many trips to Mexico they wanted her to pretend she didn’t understand the language, lest there be a newsreel of her speaking Spanish, an event that would spoil the fantasy of who she was to the American people.”
Just watched the trailer and I’m OBSESSED! Ana de Armas looks uncanny as Marilyn Monroe, can’t wait to see the biopic on Netflix
