After 7 years of imparting his unmistakable brand of comedic commentary on everything from political happenings, Pop culture, social issues, and more as host of Comedy Central’s ‘The Daily Show,’ comedian Trevor Noah announced Thursday (September 29) he is bidding the show adieu.
And while it’s not immediately clear what’s next for the EMMY winner, many think his future will be filled with days and nights alongside ‘Future Nostalgia’ star Dua Lipa.

Sharing with a stunned audience, Noah – who became host of the network’s flagship news series after Jon Stewart‘s departure in 2015 – shared he too would be vacating the host spot.
‘I remember when we first started, so many people thought it was a crazy bet, I still think it was a crazy choice, this random African… what a journey’s it’s been. It’s been absolutely amazing,’ he stated before later sharing, ‘After the seven years, my time is up. In the most beautiful way. I’ve loved hosting this show…’
Despite garnering audible gasps from the crowd, the announcement was eventually met with salutes and cheers in support of the decision of Noah who ultimately revealed the demands of hosting the show while also wanting to travel were too much.
‘I spent two years in my apartment not on the road and when I got out there again I realized there is another part of my life I want to carry on exploring,’ Noah relayed. ‘I miss learning languages, going to other countries putting on shows. I am really grateful to everyone. It’s a weird thing to say. I’ve never been good at goodbyes,’ he said elsewhere in the goodbye speech.
The news came just a day after reports began romantically linking the 38-year-old to GRAMMY-winning Pop diva Dua Lipa.
Earlier this week the two were spotted kissing and cuddling in New York City after enjoying an intimate dinner together at Miss Lily’s Jamaican restaurant.
As of time reported, Lipa nor Noah have confirmed news of their romance.
