Legendary screen actress Jamie Lee Curtis held back tears Monday morning (October 10) as she discussed anti-Semitic tweets shared by Kanye West over the weekend.
As reported here, West – just days after being banned from Instagram for posts deemed anti-Jewish – was met with outrage for taking the same rhetoric to Twitter by saying he was going to “go death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” The message came as Kanye continued to battle backlash for unveiling a custom White Lives Matter t-shirt.
While promoting the latest installment of the ‘Halloween’ franchise, ‘Halloween Ends,’ Curtis waxed honest on her thoughts about Kanye’s weekend social media activity.

“I burst into tears,” said the 63-year-old when asked about Kanye’s tweets by resident ‘Today’ show hostess Hoda Kotb.
Jamie Lee, who had already responded to the rapper directly via Twitter, got emotional when discussing the topic.
“I woke up and burst into tears. Defcon 3 on Jewish people? What are you doing?,” the actress relayed at the video above’s 3:00-minute mark before later continuing, “It’s bad enough that fascism is on the rise around the world. But on Twitter, on a portal, to pour that in? As if Jewish people haven’t had it hard enough?”
Curtis, the daughter of Jewish actor Tony Curtis, finished her message for West by calling his actions ‘abhorrent,’ wishing ‘he gets help,’ and hoping ‘his kids get help from him.’
