Jonathan Majors made his first in-person appearance in court today, as the legalities surrounding his arrest for alleged assault mount up.
Full story below…
As reported, the ‘Ant-Man’ actor was arrested in March after being accused by an alleged lover of physical abuse during an altercation in a car.
Legal reps immediately assured that Majors was “completely innocent” and “provably the victim.”
In the time since, the fate of the rising star – who is charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment – has hung in an odd state of limbo.
On the one hand, he’s been dropped by management and his publicists, as well as from a campaign for the US army.
However, no decisions have been made by many of the multinationals Majors is presently in contract with – such as Disney.
It appears more definite outcomes will be in a mere matter of months. Because, following the performer’s appearance in a New York Court today (June 20), an August 3 trial date has been set.
Majors, who maintains his innocence, must abide by the order of protection that has been in place since his March 25 arrest.

This country loves locking up their stars.
You do the crime you do the time, simple! If he weren’t physically abusive to a female, he wouldn’t be going to court.
Those reporters are always at the courthouse shoving a mic in someone’s face like they’re actually going to get some answers. Unfortunately for Jonathan, he can be found innocent and still not be welcomed back by the people that dropped him (not that he should go back to them anyway). Meanwhile, Ezra Miller can be accused or found guilty of multiple offenses including assault, burglary, child grooming, and still have studios putting tons of money behind him. All the promises tv/film studios made three years ago about treating people of color better amount to nothing when they still practice white privilege.
It’s all about the money baby, don’t take it personally, the movie was already filmed. but yeah it is still disgusting to put it out.
