Jonathan Majors has maintained his innocence in the time since he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment after an altercation with a former lover in a car.
However, the actor will have to wait a while longer to prove his version of events in court.

Originally set to begin today (August 3), the trial now starts on September 6.
The prosecution mounting the case against Majors requested the delay due to a need for more discovery.
Assistant D.A Kelli Galaway said the following to Judge Michael Gaffey at a brief hearing this morning:
“The people are not ready for trial today.”
Majors, whose legal reps insist is “completely innocent” and “provably the victim,” was in attendance with Meagan Good.
Since the saga began in March, the actor’s career has hung in a unique state of limbo.
In one regard, he’s been dropped by management and his publicists, as well as from a campaign for the US army.
Notably, though, no decisions have been made by many of the multinationals Majors is presently in contract with – like Disney.
We all know he is guilty
Yep! He is black trash.
