‘Run the World‘ has run its course at STARZ.
Taking to press Monday (September 25), STARZ revealed three of its prized series – ‘Blindspotting,’ ‘Run the World,’ and ‘Heels‘ – got the boot.
Created by Yvette Lee Bowser (the mastermind behind classic 90’s sitcom ‘Living Single‘), ‘World’ – starring Bresha Web, Amber Stevens West, and Corbin Reid – told the story of three Harlem, 30-something-year-old friends hilariously navigating the ups-and-downs of families, love, and careers all while finding what they each want most out of life.
As anticipation ramped for its season 3 following a cliffhanger of a season 2 wrap-up earlier this year, their parent network revealed the news about the show’s axing.
At writing, reps from the network have not commented on why the announced shows are not getting renewed but most speculate the impact of the writers’ strike is to blame.
