Two women have filed lawsuits against the Oscar winner alleging sexual assault.
The first woman recounts an incident from September 2018, accusing Gooding of forcibly kissing her without consent while she was working as a cocktail waitress at LAVO – a midtown Manhattan nightclub.
Kelsey Harbert, on the other hand, claims that in June 2019, Gooding groped her breast at Magic Hour rooftop bar.
Both women are pursuing their cases under New York’s Adult Survivors Act; they are seeking damages for sexual assault and battery, along with legal fees.
Gloria Allred, their legal representative, underscores their commitment to accountability following perceived injustices in the criminal case.
As reported, Gooding’s previous guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge related to Harbert saw him serve no prison time in October 2022 after copping a plea agreement.
