Jonathan Majors is baring his genuine feelings in the wake of Robert Downey Jr.‘s shock return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom.
Indeed, as many are piecing together, it appears the villainous character Downey Jr. is taking on (following his stint as Iron Man) has been drafted in as a fresh storyline arc in the wake of Majors being dropped by Marvel following his conviction for misdemeanor assault and harassment.
After the shock announcement at Comic-Con this week, Majors (who played Kang the Conquerer) was quizzed about his feelings and the interesting parallels people are pointing out en masse.
Namely, the fact that Downey Jr. served jail time in the 1990s after being found guilty of possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle with a prior conviction, driving under the influence, and the use of a controlled substance.
And yet he has always been welcomed, while Majors (who avoided jail time) was axed. Arguably for way less.
Find out what he had to say below…
Speaking with TMZ, Majors was candid about feeling “heartbroken” about no longer being in the MCU. He also was direct in his hope to one day return.
