With the ‘Black Girl Missing‘ film franchise, Lifetime reaffirms its ongoing commitment to raise awareness about the epidemic of missing Black women and girls in America.
Having already wowed audiences with the Garcelle Beauvais-led ‘Black Girl Missing’ in 2023, the network has returned with its follow-up: ‘Abducted at an HBCU.’
Executive produced by Beauvais, ‘HBCU’ sees singer-actress Naturi Naughton lead a cast of familiar faces that includes Tanyell Quian, Kendrick Cross, Maura Gale, Essence Moore, Mark JP Hood, and Aaron Gillespie.
According to its official synopsis, the gripping film follows the story of a struggling young college student whose sudden disappearance unexpectedly leads her college counselor on a mission to rescue her from a trafficking ring that targets underprivileged girls.
