The late great Kobe Bryant has been immortalized as both a sportsman and a “girl dad.”

For, his longtime team, the Los Angeles Lakers, unveiled a statue of the superstar alongside his departed daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant.

Housed outside the Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center) where Kobe played, the unveiling ceremony was attended by his wife Vanessa Bryant together with their daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.

Kobe and Gigi tragically lost their lives in an airplane accident on January 26, 2020.

He was 41 and she was just 13.

Kobe’s famous quote about Gigi features alongside the statue and reads:

“Giana is a beast. She’s better than I was at her age. She’s got it. Girls are amazing. I would have more girls if I could. I’m a girl dad.”
