Tyler Perry is setting the record straight about the rumored third installment of ‘Why Did I Get Married?’

The beloved franchise, which is anchored by the likes of Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Tasha Smith, Perry, and Malik Yoba, has been the subject of sequel murmurs.

Particularly after Perry took to social media in October with a script tease after several of the film’s stars took to TikTok to tease.

However, during an appearance on the Sherri show to promote his latest film ‘The Six Triple Eight,’ the star shot down any immediate plans for ‘Why Did I Get Married 3?’

When quizzed by host Sherri Shepherd about if a new movie is in motion, Perry candidly quipped:

“I don’t think so. I want to, I want to. But there are a lot of logistics, but hopefully, we can pull it together. Everyone’s doing different things. Janet’s on tour, Jill’s on tour, I got a few things going on. Timing would to fall in place and everything else would have to fall into place.”
