Lifetime has unveiled the first look at ‘Not My Family: The Monique Smith Story.’

This eye-opening film premieres on Saturday, April 12, at 8/7c. Directed by Tailiah Breon and written by Sylvia Jones, the movie stars and is executive produced by Yaya DaCosta.

Based on Monique Smith’s gripping memoir, the film immerses viewers in a journey of survival and self-discovery.

It centers on Smith uncovering a shocking truth: the family she thought she knew and loved wasn’t her biological family. She’s tasked with moving forward while rebuilding all that she has ever known.

Alongside DaCosta, the film stars Robert Hamilton III, Solace Kimbro Jones, Kadeem Isaiah, Morgan-Rose Jordan, and Djassi DaCosta Johnson.
