Tyler Perry is already working on season 2 of ‘Beauty in Black’ despite Netflix not announcing a renewal yet.

The media mogul displayed this confidence of being renewed in a post on Instagram stating:
‘I’m just gonna sit this right here!! YALL AIN’T READY FOR SEASON 2 of #BeautyInBlack!! Thanks for making season one HUGE!’.
With Part 2 being released on March 6, the show climbed back up the charts and is currently holding the #2 spot on Netflix’s U.S. Top 10.
Plus, when Part 1 dropped last October, it racked up 1.2 BILLION minutes watched in its first week, and 8.7 MILLION views in its second week. Which placed it as the second most-watched original in the U.S..
It’s also been reported that more episodes have been filmed already. So, it’s looking like a renewal isn’t too far behind.
Perry had this to say about upcoming twists in the series, stating:
“I don’t think anybody’s going to be able to figure out where it’s going and how that rise of power happens with Kimmie. It’s going to be mind-blowing for people. Like, ‘Wait a minute, how does she get into power?”
