Terrence Howard is no stranger to making headlines, and his latest sit-down with Bill Maher is stirring the pot once again.
Full story below…
During his appearance on ‘Club Random,’ the Oscar-nominated actor revealed his biggest career regret — passing on the chance to play Smokey Robinson in a biopic. Why? He was tied up preparing for a Marvin Gaye project that never even materialized.
Howard claimed he walked away from the Gaye project after a visit to Quincy Jones’ home, where he alleges he was told Gaye was homosexual. Howard said he couldn’t commit to a role that would require him to portray a same-sex relationship, including kissing another man, to which he stated:
“They would’ve wanted to do that and I wouldn’t have been able to do that. No, ’cause I don’t fake it. I would cut my lips off. […] That’s fine, do what you love to do, but don’t aim it at me. And I can’t play that character 100 percent. I can’t surrender myself to a place that I don’t understand.”
Maher stepped in to steer the conversation away from homophobic assumptions, framing it around authenticity in acting. With a new podcast promising even more Hollywood bombshells, it’s clear Howard is just getting started with the revelations.
If I had to kiss a man, I would cut my lips off."
Terrence Howard reveals Quincy Jones confirmed Marvin Gaye was g*y, and says the biggest mistake in his career was rejecting Smokey Robinson’s request to play him in a movie.

That’s his right
He’s not even attractive to start with
He was.
Anyway he is gay, he is too obsessed with the subject to be straight.
But you’ll play naked with 50 Cent in the showers on screen. This man just mad that he has a baby d*** lol
Good for him. People will be lgbt without promoting it. We don’t need to see it.
What TF ever.
It’s ok, you can just let me suck your D. That’s good enough 🙂
