In what comes as shocking news, award-winning actor Val Kilmer has died at age 65.
Best known for movies such as 1986’s ‘Top Gun,’ 1991’s ‘The Doors,’ and 1995’s ‘Batman Forever,’ Kilmer reportedly died of pneumonia on Tuesday (April 1). He was 65 years old.
His daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, confirmed the news of his death with The New York Times.
Her confirmation silenced rumors the actor’s death was related to his previous bout with throat cancer (which he recovered from after being diagnosed in 2014).
One of the highest-paid and highest-grossing stars of the 90’s, his final film appearance was in 2023’s ‘Top Gun’ sequel ‘Top Gun: Maverick.’
