FKA Twigs is set to make a splash on the big screen. For, she has reportedly been tapped to portray the legendary Josephine Baker in an upcoming biopic.

The film will showcase the life of the groundbreaking entertainer, who shattered racial barriers and captivated the world as a dancer, singer, actress, and even a civil rights activist.
Taking the direction is none other than director Maimouna Doucouré, bringing her storytelling style to the figure’s extraordinary life.
Studiocanal is stepping in to finance and co-produce the project, while also handling international distribution. The film is being developed under Doucouré’s banner Bien ou Bien Prods, in collaboration with Studiocanal and CPB Films.
This biopic is touted as having the blessing of those closest to Baker’s legacy. Her sons, Jean-Claude Bouillon Baker and Brian Bouillon Baker.
